【摘要】:Thesetestmethodscoverproceduresforthephysicaltestingofthermoplasticinsulationsandjacketsusedontelecommunicationswireandcableandthetestingofphysicalcharacteristicsandenvironmentalperformancepropertiesofcompletedproducts.Todeterminetheproceduretobeusedontheparticularinsulationorjacketoronthecompletedwireorcable,referenceshouldbemadetothespecificationforthatproduct.Thetestmethodsappearinthefollowingsectionsofthisstandard:Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandardexceptwhereonlySIunitsaregiven.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificcautionstatementsee.Dimensionalmeasurementsinclude,butarenotlimitedtomeasurementsofinsulationandjacketthicknesses,tapeandarmorthicknesses,conductordiameters,DODs,corediameters,overalldiameters,etc.Physicalandenvironmentaltestsforinsulationsandjacketsinclude,butarenotlimitedtodeterminationofsomeorallofthepropertiescoveredinSections.1.6PhysicalandenvironmentaltestsofcompletedwireandcableincludebutarenotlimitedtodeterminationofsomeorallofthepropertiescoveredinSections.
